April, 2011 – Dave Kalan hosted a dinner for foreign visitors sponsored by The International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP). The visitors were hosted by (International Institute of Wisconsin (IIW). Dave invited several other FFGM members for an entertaining and informative evening.
International Folk Dancers - On May 24, FFGM members Donna Baldwin Haut, Doris Small and Doris Mueller attended the International Folk Dancers at Wauwatosa’s Hart Park Mueller Building. The FFGM informational display evoked much interest.
Will Allen Presentation of Growing Power at St. Matthew’s Church on June 5 was attended by a number of FFGM members. Allen is a motivating speaker who has had a national impact with his innovative grass-roots urban sustainability programs.
Learning in Retirement, (LIR) June 14, Iva Richards and Mary Hauser gave an FFGM presentation at WCTC's LIR.
Unitarian Church East - An FFGM presentation will be given some time next season as part of their educational program.Sister Cities Program.
FFGM is exploring contacts with the Milwaukee Sister Cities program.
ELS - FFGM may explore some arrangements with Gerry Jung Center Director for social activities for foreign college-bound students who are part of the ELS, (English Language Services), located on the MU campus.
SERVAS - Donna Baldwin-Haut and Nancy Mitchell are currently planning an event involving SERVAS representatives and the FFGM board to share future collaborative events.
Linda Connelly of the Pewaukee Women’s Club requested a speaker from FFGM for next season.
