Intergenerational 2011 Eco-Exchange Was a Great Success!

Congratulations Milwaukee!  Once again you have taken on a challenging project and made it work through extensive planning and club participation. The German and Japanese grandparents and grandchildren were thoroughly pleased with the week in Milwaukee and all of the wonderful friendships they made. The kids loved the active schedule which included tubing on Pewaukee Lake, sailing on the Denis Sullivan, canoeing in the Lagoon on Milwaukee’s lakefront, hiking the bluffs of Devils Lake, learning about birds at the Audubon Nature Center and the International Crane Foundation, and experiencing an educational River Monitoring Project and the IMAX film “Tornado Alley”. They even had an opportunity to record a hip hop song with a professional musician. How cool is that!
