Greater Milwaukee, on the shores of beautiful Lake Michigan, is Wisconsin's largest metropolitan area. Milwaukee is the "Genuine American City". The population of more than 1.7 million people is proud of the many heritages that make a community rich in ethnic culture.
Our community, is nestled along a bluff on Lake Michigan's western shore and is an exciting center of commerce, industry, education and shipping.  Wisconsin's broad-based business sector is comprised of a diverse collection of companies ranging from the famous Harley Davidson motorcycle to award-winning micro-breweries. The many beautiful parks offer a setting for an abundance of events and outdoor activities.
Milwaukee is a culturally vibrant community and home to a major symphony, acclaimed theater troupes, a world-class ballet company, critically acclaimed zoo, opera company, zoological and botanical gardens, the outstanding Milwaukee Public Museum, Humphrey IMAX theater, Discovery World and the world-renowned Santiago Calatrava Art Museum. While Wisconsonites are devoted fans of the Green Bay Packers, our national football team, Milwaukeeans are proud of professional hockey, basketball, baseball and soccer teams that all create a stimulating sports climate.
The architectural achievements are a blend of old world charm of historic buildings, charming neighborhoods and the grand works exemplified by the sweeping masterpiece, the Calatrava-designed Milwaukee Art Museum, and one-of-a-kind Miller Ball Park with its convertible roof.
During any season, visiting Ambassadors will feel at home in Milwaukee with its ethnic celebrations, delicious cuisine and great cultural diversity.

Heralded as the "City of Festivals"...

Milwaukee annually celebrates events such as our various summer festivals celebrating our Afro-American, Arabian, Asian, French, German, Hispanic, Irish, Italian, LGBT, Native American, and Polish heritage, and the annual fall Folk Fair.  All attract international performing artists from many countries.
Southeast Wisconsin “with a reputation for friendliness and hospitality” offers opportunities and  activities galore for every taste. Enjoy strolling through Milwaukee County's glittering green necklace of parks, trails, many golf courses or the sculpture-filled River Walk.
Through the International Arts Festival, Milwaukee's performing arts groups honor a different ethnic group each year by featuring the work of one particular culture. All of these events, along with Winterfest and the annual Folk Fair, attract international groups, musicians and performing artists from many countries to delight our visitors.

We hope to welcome you soon to a
great place on a great lake:

           Bold,  Beautiful and Progressive Milwaukee.
